Finding the Perfect Fit for your Little Peep

At Hey Peeps, we know that properly fitting
sunglasses aren't just about looking cool,
(though our styles definitely do!)
they're essential for proper sun protection.
Here's everything you need to know about
finding the perfect fit for your little one.

Understanding Sunglasses Measurements

There are five key measurements that help ensure a perfect fit:

FRAME WIDTH

This is the total width of the sunglasses from temple to temple. Our frames range from 110mm to 126mm.

LENS WIDTH

The width of each lens, which determines how much coverage your child's eyes get.

LENS HEIGHT

The height of each lens, which provides vertical coverage for maximum protection.

BRIDGE WIDTH

This measures the distance between the lenses over the nose. Our bridges range from 12mm to 19mm.

TEMPLE LENGTH

Also called "arms," these extend from the frame to behind the ears. Our temples range from 100mm to 135mm.

Measuring Tips

Not sure which size to choose?
Here's a simple way to find the right fit:
- Measure your child's face width from temple to temple while they're sitting still (we know, tricky!)
- Add about 6-8mm to allow for comfortable movement
- Match this measurement to our frame width ranges

Keep Those Sunnies On

Let's be real – teaching tots to wear sunglasses can feel like teaching
a fish to juggle, but with these tips, you'll get there!

- Introduce sunglasses from an early age - the sooner the better!
(Research shows that habits formed in early toddlerhood, 12-24 months, are more likely to stick)
- Make them part of your "getting ready" routine - right up there with shoes.
- Wear your own sunnies regularly - monkey see, monkey do!
-Don't make a big deal when they take them off, simply redirect and reapply.

And don't worry if they take them off 17 times in 5 minutes - sunglass swagger takes practice! 😎
